Safety equipment, workwear and tools distributor GME Supply announced Tuesday that it has acquired distributors in Upstate New York and New Mexico.

Peak Trading, located in Saugerties, New York, is a distributor of rope, chain, rigging and lifting equipment, fall protection equipment, hand tools and more, while Albuquerque-based ASK Tower Supply provides construction, maintenance and safety supplies for the telecommunications sector.

GME officials said that the deals would help bolster its position in the telecom, rigging and industrial safety markets. Financial terms were not disclosed.

"These acquisitions are a perfect fit for our long-term vision,” GME CEO Ryan Keogh said in a statement. “Peak Trading is a powerhouse in the rigging and rope access world, and ASK Tower Supply brings technical knowledge in the telecommunications market that is second-to-none.”
