The io® Tile Gen II luminaires receive a Gold award in the Decorative Lighting category.
Peachtree City, GA – Cooper Lighting has been honored with a Best of NeoCon® Gold award for its family of io® Tile Gen II LED luminaires. Earning top honors in the Decorative Lighting category of the 23rd Annual Best of NeoCon awards competition, these LED products add unique lighting colors to modern indoor spaces, offering architects and designers an array of creative design opportunities along with the ability to achieve greater light control and reduce energy consumption. Featuring Cooper Lighting’s patented optical waveguide LED technology, providing functional and directional illumination, the Tile Gen II is a luminous, clean, geometric form that can be surface-mounted, pendant-mounted or recessed into walls and ceilings. The optical waveguide technology produces a highly directed light output, enabling accurate ray angle control, spread and uniformity. An anodized aluminum frame, less than ¾-inches deep, houses LED linear strips that serve to edge light the optical waveguide acrylic, delivering maximum efficiency and the right amount of light in the specified direction with no hot spots or glare. The shallow housing enables the lighting fixture to be recessed into tight spaces. The Tile Gen II is available in standard square and rectangular sizes with custom sizes available. The family of fixtures features a variety of white color temperatures and several hundred custom color options, allowing for both functional illumination and decorative applications. The luminaires’ infinite color and graphic options provide visual cues, brand identity (custom signage) and artistic expression to any environment. The protective lens and minimal heat protects the color gels and graphics, ensuring no degradation of color or images. With so many size, color and graphic options, Tile Gen II can be used sparely or in clusters to create Mondrian-style expressions. The luminaire is rated 50,000 hours at 70 percent lamp lumen output.
