On Aug. 19, Fastenal and the National Hockey League made the major announcement that the distributor is now the NHL's official MRO partner through the 2023-2024 season, in which Fastenal will provide the NHL and about 4,800 community ice rinks throughout North America with a reliable product supply chain and maintenance services.

Shortly after, Fastenal CEO Dan Florness joined Industrial Distribution editor Mike Hockett for a video interview to discuss how the deal happened, what it means for Fastenal and the industrial supply sector as a whole.
