Grainger and the Chicago Bears on Wednesday announced a “strategic partnership” that would incorporate the MRO giant’s branding at the team’s facilities and on broadcasts.
Under the agreement, Grainger would receive “prominent placement across all Chicago Bears multimedia platforms,” officials said. The company’s name has been displayed during team press conferences at Halas Hall and will be on signs at its stadium. Its branding was also shown during the team's preseason TV and radio broadcasts, and Grainger will sponsor its “Bears Huddle” program.
“We’re excited to partner with the Chicago Bears and connect with customers, communities and fans through one of the most recognizable organizations in professional sports,” Grainger Senior Vice President, Brand, Online Experience and Assortment Barry Greenhouse said in a statement.
Grainger was founded in Chicago in 1927 and is based in suburban Lake Forest, Illinois.
