Sonepar’s renewable energy certificate purchases covered 100% of the electricity used by its branches as of last summer, the company said in its latest sustainability report.
The electrical distributor, which issued the “Corporate Social Responsibility” report last week, also said in a press release that it would maintain that commitment for 2026, and highlighted solar energy systems both currently in place at a Capital Electric hub and slated to be installed at its Codale distribution center in Las Vegas.
The company also marked the fourth year of its “Bright Lights Brighter Futures” lighting retrofitting program and its “Place an order, plant a tree” program coinciding with Earth Week.
“In the U.S., Sonepar is reducing its environmental footprint, investing in renewable energy and efficiency, and strengthening partnerships that support a more sustainable future,” company officials said in a statement.
