Illinois building materials supplier North American Builders Supply Inc. is seeking bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11, according to reports.
The company filed its petition last week with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois. What Now Chicago reported that the Yorkville supplier listed assets of between $500,000 and $1 million and liabilities of between $1 million and $10 million, including debts owed to some 49 unsecured creditors.
The company indicated that it aims to restructure its debts and plans to continue operating during the proceedings.
North American Builders Supply provides windows, doors, cabinets, siding and decking, tools and hardware, as well as commercial products and design services.
