Pipe, valve and fittings supplier Midland Industries announced Monday that it has acquired suburban Denver counterpart Industrial Specialties Manufacturing.

ISM assembles and distributes pneumatic, vacuum and fluid circuitry components, the company said, and specializes in fittings, couplings, filters and valves serving industrial and medical applications. Midland officials said the deal would expand its product lineup, as well as increase its position in OEM channels and its exposure to “attractive end markets.”

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

"ISM has built a strong reputation for quality, technical expertise and customer service, and we are pleased to welcome their team to Midland," Midland Executive Chairman Fabian de Armas said in the announcement. "This acquisition expands our product breadth and deepens our relationships with both distribution and OEM customers."

"We are excited to join Midland and believe the combination creates meaningful opportunities for our customers, suppliers and employees," added ISM President James Davis. "Midland's complementary portfolio, scale and operational resources will enhance our capabilities while preserving the responsiveness and technical expertise that define ISM."
