Atlas Copco has acquired compressed air distributors in Florida and in Brazil, the Swedish manufacturer announced last week.
Air Compressor Works Inc., located in Riviera Beach, Florida, will join the company’s Quincy Compressor segment. The company, and its staff of 50, provides air compressor equipment and service to industrial customers across South Florida. Atlas Copco officials said that its 2024 revenues totaled about $16 million.
“This acquisition will allow us to grow the Quincy Compressor brand and will contribute to a stronger presence in South Florida,” Philippe Ernens, Atlas Copco business area president, compressor technique, said in a statement.
Atlas Copco also said that it has finalized previously announced acquisition of Centro do Ar Comprimido do Recife Ltda in Recife, Brazil. The company provides compressor and power equipment to manufacturers as well as the mining, construction, paper and infrastructure sectors.
