Core & Main announced Monday that it has reached an agreement to acquire Pioneer Supply, a suburban Oklahoma City distributor of water and storm drainage products.
Pioneer, founded in 1963, operates locations in Moore, Oklahoma, and Weatherford, Texas. Core & Main officials said that the deal would help the waterworks and fire protection distributor expand its presence in both states.
“Their strong reputation for quality and service perfectly complements our mission to deliver exceptional value to our customers,” Core & Main President Brad Cowles said of Pioneer. “Together, we will be able to expand our reach and create even greater opportunities for growth and success.”
Pioneer CEO William Dozier said that both companies share a focus on culture and “supplying the best products and expertise to our customers.”
"What began with a four-person team supplying materials for the Oklahoma municipal water and sewer systems has grown into a trusted, multi-state supplier of products and services,” Dozier said. “We meet a variety of needs for our customers, and we are excited to bring that dedication to Core & Main.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Core & Main is the no. 6 distributor on ID’s latest edition of the Big 50 list.
