Wisconsin fluid power distributor J.M. Grimstad has acquired a nearby hydraulic service provider, company officials announced.

GT Hydraulic Specialists, also located in Milwaukee’s west suburbs, serves the industrial and marine segments in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan and Ohio.

Grimstad officials said that addition of GT’s service and installation capabilities would bolster its own engineering and manufacturing offering. It would also complement Grimstad’s acquisition of manufacturing equipment maker Galland Henning earlier this year, resulting in a “single-source partner” for design, building and support.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“This acquisition is a win for all of our customers,” J.M. Grimstad President and CEO Brian Sternberg said in a statement. “With GT Hydraulic Specialists’ service expertise, Galland Henning’s manufacturing excellence, and the dedication of our employee-owners, we are creating a truly comprehensive solution that supports every client we serve across design, build and field service.”
