The new facility will allow the company to store a large portion of inventory on a pallet rack system, making it more readily available for shipment.

Major southeastern fastener distributor Threaded Fasteners has recently opened a new headquarters and national distribution center in Mobile, Ala.

According to a report from al.com, the 81,000-square foot facility is located in the southern Mobile neighborhood of Crichton, at 3200 Crichton St. on a plot of 4.5 acres bought in 2013.

Threaded Fasteners had operated out of its Mobile location on St. Louis St. for more than 30 years. The new facility will allow the company to store a large portion of inventory on a pallet rack system, making it more readily available for shipment.

"Our company has been a fixture in Mobile since 1979, because of the investment and vision of its founders, Frank Martin and Steve Sholtis. Their vision to become a leader in fastener supply to the industrial market of Mobile and surrounding area has expanded exponentially now to include 5 branch locations in other states," Threaded Fasteners President Billy Duren said in a prepared statement via the report.

According to its company website, Threaded Fasteners has $5 million of inventory between its six distribution warehouses, with its customer base including stainless steel fabricators, marine construction, industrial and power generation facilities, metal building manufacturing, as well as many fastener distributors. It's main product line includes bolts, nuts, washers, and screws provided to customers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
