Dayton, OH-based Ritz Safety, an industrial safety supplies distributor, has opened a new regional sales and distribution center in Texas.
Opening in the Houston market in Pasadena, the facility is 7,000 square feet and features a showroom. It is Ritz' sixth distribution center, with Florida locations in Pompano Beach, Tampa, and Jacksonville, as well as Indianapolis and Las Vegas.
According to the Houston Chronicle, the new facility will serve Texas and surrounding states, and the company said its location near the Port of Houston will help reduce lead times at least a day. Ritz stocks more than 25,000 safety and personal protection products.
The Chronicle said Jonathan Hughes will lead the new office as general manager, and Matt Pipes is the Houston warehouse lead.
The new facility comes just weeks after Ritz' announcement of moving its Pompano Beach location to a new building just down the road from its old one. The company is holding a number of grand opening events there throughout February.
