BOSTON — Exact, a global provider of business software in the cloud for small- and medium-sized businesses, unveiled its Manufacturing Health Assessment tool last week. The free online tool allows business owners and production managers to get tailored advice on how to optimize their shop floor to meet customer expectations and drive positive business results.
According to the Journal of Economic Perspectives, industrial production in the U.S. has grown at the same rate or faster than the economy as a whole. At the same time, globalization has broken down borders and buyers increasingly seek a fast, individualized and straightforward customer experience. This leaves manufacturers facing a fierce competitive landscape where reputation is more important than ever.
Exact’s new Manufacturing Health Assessment allows those organizations to understand where their operations can become more streamlined, and as a result, provide a better customer experience. Users input details into the online tool around common challenges they face, including pricing, managing project lead times and identifying bottlenecks. Using this information, the Health Assessment then provides tailored recommendations to the user.
"We understand the myriad challenges manufacturers face today when it comes to operating lean, leveraging technology effectively and staying competitive," said Kae Williams, General Manager at Exact. "With our new free health assessment, we’ve taken steps to help small manufacturers understand the opportunities that exist to streamline their operations and ultimately impact the bottom line."
Exact Online Manufacturing management software lets manufacturers use the cloud to make life easier. Designed to work seamlessly with Exact Online for Accounting or QuickBooks® Online, it streamlines tasks from “quote to cash” including purchasing, production, inventory management and CRM, while providing real-time insight into both business and financial processes.
