ABC Supply has acquired a longtime Northwest Ohio distributor in a move that will bolster its presence along the Lake Erie shoreline, company officials said Monday.

Koch Building Products of Sandusky, Ohio, ABC said, has provided building products — including doors, windows, siding, railings and more — to the area’s builders and contractors for more than 70 years.

The company’s facility will remain in operation as an ABC brand, and ABC will retain its current workforce, including Jill Hartley, the business' current leader and the daughter of owner Randy Koch.

Other details, including financial terms, were not disclosed.

“We’re excited to bring the Koch Building Products team into ABC Supply,” Tom Kuchan, the Northeast regional vice president at ABC Supply, said in a statement. “They know the Sandusky market well and have built strong, lasting relationships with their contractors.”

ABC also announced last week that it has recently opened new branches in Laredo, Texas, Mesquite, Texas, Sandy, Utah, and Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. The company says that it currently has 720 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
