Ascent Lifting Inc. announced that it has acquired Florida industrial rigging equipment supplier Brevard Rigging Supply.

Ascent officials said that the deal would complement its other locations in Florida and noted that Brevard serves a range of end markets, but “most notably space exploration.” The company is located in Cocoa, Florida, along the state’s “Space Coast.”

The deal is the fourth acquisition for Ascent, which was formed by private equity firm Shorehill Capital in 2022. The lifting and rigging fabricator and distributor has 41 locations in the U.S.

Terms of the deal, which closed in early October, were not disclosed.

“As we continue to build scale and capability across key regions, Brevard exemplifies the type of high-performing organization we’re proud to partner with,” Ascent CEO Dee Schweigert said in a statement.

“We’re thrilled to join the Ascent Lifting family,” added Brevard CEO Ralph Cornelius. “Their focus on people, operational excellence, and long-term partnerships aligns perfectly with our approach.”
