READING, PA — A new TAB Wrapper Tornado orbital wrapping machine from packaging machinery manufacturer TAB Industries wraps palletized loads up to 107 inches tall and 53 feet in length (or longer) to suit the height and length of standard trucks and trailers and take full advantage of available space inside for maximum efficiency in transport.
Custom-designed and manufactured in the company's Reading, PA headquarters, the new TAB Wrapper boasts the company's largest-ever wrapping ring that spans 125 inches in diameter to accommodate the required load dimensions on pallets sized up to 48” x 48”. The new orbital wrapper allows large, long and oddly shaped products to be safely delivered stretch-wrapped onto a pallet, replacing rigid containers such as wooden crates and their associated dunnage, strapping and banding with a secure, unitized, see-through approach that saves time and invites fast inspection without any disassembly.
Originally developed to allow a plastics processor to efficiently transport marine dock floats, the new TAB Wrapper features patent-pending technology for automatically attaching palletized loads to their pallets by wrapping plastic film around and under the pallet while the load is raised on a forklift and/or when set on a gravity roller conveyor. Proven in shipping sharp, metal parts, bagged powders, bricks and pavers, tubing and pipe and other products, the TAB Wrapper encases the palletized loads in layers of film to provide a durable, weather-resistant barrier that protects against damage from the elements and from shifting in transit. In addition to offering custom models, the company offers a choice of three standard models that accommodate 60” x 60”, 48” x 48” and 24” x 24” pallets.
