Ridgid (Elyria, OH) unveiled its Model P-TEC 2550 Tailpiece extension cutter, designed for thin-walled tailpieces, wall extension tubes, and disposer kits made of PE, PP, or PVC materials. According to the company, the product is a contained, auto-fed cutter for the standard sixes of 1 1/2 and 1 1/4-inch outer diameters. The automatic deburring feature eliminates the need for a second tool and produces only a fine strand of plastic. In addition to an automatic beveling feature, the cutter has easy-view windows that ensure straight cuts on measured and marked pipes.
