Northfield Precision Instrument Corp. (Island Park, NY) introduces its latest custom air chuck, Model 450L. Aluminum pie jaws with custom flex inserts bolted to the jaws have been mounted to the chuck. The flexing inserts are designed to compensate for any out of roundness in the work piece. According to the company, models include through-hole, high-speed, and quick-change, and are available in SAE or metric. Accuracies of 0.001” to 0.00001” are guaranteed, and the models are offered in sizes from 3-18”.
