ATLANTA -- Georgia-Pacific Professional was recently awarded the 2009 Supplier of the Year award by Network Services, an international organization of independent distributors of janitorial supplies and equipment, foodservice disposables, industrial packaging products, and printing materials.
The award, which honors preferred suppliers for their outstanding performance over the course of the year, is based on feedback from a 35-question survey to Network’s 75 member-distributors around the country.
“We truly value the relationship we have with Network Services and are especially proud to be recognized so highly by its members,” said Bill Sleeper, President of Georgia-Pacific Professional. “Our team is constantly looking for ways to strengthen and deepen our partnership to ensure that everyone involved benefits.”
The award was presented by Network CEO Bob Mitchum on April 12 at Network’s Supplier Trade Show held in Orlando. The event has been held annually for more than 25 years to provide Network’s independent distributors and market-leading suppliers with the opportunity to network; discuss new solutions, products and services; as well as conduct business meetings. Some of the categories surveyed for the award include: customer service, responsible and knowledgeable sales representatives, and sustainability initiatives.
