Ferguson Announces Management Promotions

Ferguson recently announced the following promotions. They were effective Jan. 1, 2012

NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Ferguson recently announced the following promotions. They were effective Jan. 1, 2012:

Steve David

Steve David was promoted to senior director of procurement and shared purchasing center services. He is responsible for overall inventory investment and fill rate for the Ferguson and Wolseley Canada distribution network.

David joined Ferguson as a management trainee in 1982 and was general manager of branches in Birmingham, Ala., and Lexington, Ky., before becoming director of distribution services at Ferguson’s headquarters in 2003.

A native of Chicago, Ill., David is a 1981 graduate of Western Carolina. He attended the Wolseley/Duke Executive Development Program in 1993, Darden Executive Development Program in 2002 and IMD Executive Development Program in 2004.

Debra Deihl

Debra Deihl was promoted to senior director of shared financial services. She joined Ferguson as the manager of the east coast shared accounting center in 1999. She was promoted to manager of east and west coast shared accounting centers in January 2005 and was promoted to director in October 2005.

A native of Uniontown, Ohio, Deihl is a 1991 graduate of the College of William and Mary. She attended the Executive Development Program at the Darden School of Business and the IMD Executive Program in Switzerland.

She was recently the treasurer of the ARC of the Virginia Peninsula and is currently a member of the Thomas Nelson Community College’s Corporate Advisory Board.

Chip Devine

Chip Devine was appointed to vice president of multi-channel business services. In this new position, he will assist and create solutions to enhance service to Ferguson’s customer base that includes traditional channel customers and new business segments.

A native of Orlando, Fla., and a graduate of Virginia Tech, Devine joined Ferguson as a trainee in 1993. He was previously the district manager of Florida and general manager of Ft. Myers, Fla. and central Florida.
