Corvallis, OR, USA - Handheld, a leading global manufacturer of rugged mobile computers and smartphones, has appointed Jeff Watkin as new Vertical Sales Manager for its U.S. operations. Watkin brings more than 20 years of valuable industry experience in sales and business development to Handheld.
As Handheld US’s vertical sales manager, Jeff Watkin will be responsible for building and supporting Handheld’s partner network in numerous industries, including utilities, construction, and manufacturing.
Watkin has over 22 years’ experience in sales to C-level executives and below, and specializes in growing large utility accounts, local and national accounts, and IT solutions partnerships.
Most recently, he was a regional sales manager and partner at PCS Mobile, where his responsibilities included sales and demand-generation for public safety, utilities and field-service organizations with large mobile fleets. He has also held sales and business-development positions at General Dynamics Itronix, Motion Computing, Sharp Solutions of America and NEC Solutions America.
