Graybar Opens New Service Center In California

The new center in Pomona, CA, spans 238,000 square feet and serves as the primary shipping facility for Graybar in southern California.

ST. LOUIS — Graybar, a distributor of electrical, communications and data networking products and provider of related supply chain management and logistics services, recently announced the opening of a new service center and warehouse in Pomona, CA.

The new service center, located at 2205 Mt. Vernon Ave. spans 238,000 square feet and serves as the primary shipping facility for Graybar in the southern part of California. This service center replaces a service center located in City of Industry, CA. The newly-constructed facility provides access to over $12 million in inventory and more than 15,000 SKUs, as well as product staging, kitting, and customizable consolidated packing service capabilities. Will-call pick-up hours are from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The facility was built to LEED green building program specifications and features many of the green technologies Graybar distributes to its customers. Graybar plans to pursue LEED certification for the facility.

“This new, state-of-the-art service center will help us better serve our California customers,” said Rich Birkett, Graybar California District Vice President. “This service center has almost twice the square footage as our previous location, which will allow us to offer enhanced logistics capabilities and increased local inventory. Its convenient location provides easier freeway access for will-call orders.”
