WASHINGTON, DC – Properly trained operators mean fewer industrial accidents and a safer work environment. That’s the message the Industrial Truck Association will reinforce at the inaugural National Forklift Safety Day, June 10.
“Industrial truck manufacturers have long supported the necessity of operator training and safe work practices,” said Brian Feehan, ITA president. “We are launching this event to focus on the importance of safety and training. Safety is paramount to our industry and operator training has been proven to prevent accidents.”
According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, effective training can significantly reduce accident rates.
The National Forklift Safety Day event takes place:

The event serves as a focal point for manufacturers to highlight the safe use of forklifts, and provides an opportunity for the industry to educate customers, policymakers and the Administration on forklift operating safety practices.
