Graybar CEO Named St. Louis Federal Reserve Chair

Mazzarella, first appointed to the Fed board in 2015, received the National Association of Electrical Distributors' Women in Industry Trailblazer Award last June.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Graybar chairman, president and CEO Kathleen Mazzarella has been named chair of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

Mazzarella previously served as board deputy chair before being appointed to the board in 2015. She replaces Rakesh Sachdev, who left his chair position when he began his new role as CEO of Platform Speciality Products in West Palm Beach, FL.

In March 2015, the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) awarded Mazzarella with its annual Women in Industry Trailblazer Award. She was recognized at the Women in Industry Forum last June.

Graybar, one of the largest electrical distributors in the U.S., posted 2015 total sales of $6.1 billion, a company record and a 2.2 percent increase over 2014. Company profit of $91.1 million was also a company record, and a 4.2 percent yearly increase.
