MCKINNEY, TX — SRS Distribution announced Wednesday that it is in the final stages of acquiring Advanced Building Products, a regional independent distributor of roofing, siding, windows, gutters and related residential and commercial building products, supplies, and services. Advanced is headquartered in Harahan, LA and maintains additional locations in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Lake Charles, Louisiana as well as Huntsville, AL and Oklahoma City, OK. The transaction is scheduled to close on May 29.
Advanced was founded in 1983 and currently employs a team of over 100 people. Advanced’s product mix includes all residential and commercial roofing products, vinyl siding, fiber cement siding, windows, gutters, columns and patio enclosures. Kris Anderson, the Owner, and Advanced’s entire sales and operations team will be staying with the company to run the branches going forward. Kris will serve as District Manager for the state of Louisiana and report directly to John Bradberry, SVP Central Region. SRS will continue to operate Advanced’s locations in Louisiana under the Advanced Building Products name as a new stand-alone region. Over time, Advanced’s locations in Huntsville, Alabama and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma will likely migrate to SRS’ existing brands in those markets.
