CRC Industries Acquires ChemFree Corp.

The acquisition gains CRC the SmartWasher Parts Washing System product line, which is distributed and marketed in more than 40 countries.

​WARMINSTER, PA — CRC Industries, a specialty chemical manufacturer for MRO professionals, announced on Wednesday the acquisition of ChemFree Corporation, a subsidiary of Intelligent Systems Corporation located in Norcross, GA.

ChemFree Corporation manufactures the SmartWasher Bio Remediating Parts Washing System, providing an alternative method for cleaning vehicle and maintenance parts without harming humans or the environment. The SmartWasher system consists of the SmartWasher parts washer, OzzyJuice Degreasing Solutions and OzzyMatsT which are microbe impregnated filters. The ChemFree Smartwasher product line is distributed in more than 40 countries and marketed under multiple patents.

The SmartWasher system eliminates or dramatically reduces waste streams, as well as the expense of hazardous waste removal and associated liabilities. Combining the ChemFree product line and CRC's broad specialty chemical platform will create superior performance and enhanced environmental responsibility, as well as new product growth opportunities.

Tom McNally will continue as Vice President and General Manager of the ChemFree business. The manufacturing, sales, customer service, distribution and administration offices will remain headquartered in Norcross, GA and will report directly to Wayne King, President - CRC .
