Saginaw, MI-based Fullerton Tool Company recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for its second location, also in Saginaw's Great Lakes Technology Park.
Fullerton Tool Company, a global manufacturer of precision-made solid carbide cutting tools, has outgrown their current 35,000 square foot facility and will be starting construction of an additional facility in Spring 2015 as the first occupant of the Great Lakes Tech Park.
The Great Lakes Tech Park is approximately 240 acres of shovel-ready land that is owned by the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) of Saginaw County. Through the support and assistance of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, the EDC and Saginaw Future Inc, Fullerton Tool Company has acquired 35 acres of the land and plans to construct a 35,000 square foot building to allow for the company’s continued growth.
"Our current building is bursting at the seams," said Patrick Curry, President of Fullerton Tool. "The expansion will allow for us to serve our existing customer base in a manner they have been accustomed to while still allowing for further diversified growth for our company."
The projected date of completion for the new facility is in Q3 2015. Over the course of three years, Fullerton plans to hire a significant amount of new employees as part of the expansion.
