Actuant Sales Rise 9.4 Percent In 2014

Fourth quarter profits declined year-over-year, but yearly profits were up more than 500 percent from 2013.

Milwaukee-based Actuant Corporation reported it's fiscal 2014 year-end sales numbers on Wednesday, showing a 9.4 percent increase to $1.4 billion. That number was $1.28 billion a year ago.

Net profit jumped from $30 million in 2013 to $163 million this year. Fourth quarter sales were up 8 percent from last year to $354 million. Net profit for the fourth quarter decreased 39 percent to $35.6 million.

Core sales declines 1 percent, with acquisitions, net of divestitures, adding 7 percent, and foreign currency translation of 2 percent.
