Motion Industries plans to relocate from its Boise facility to a new facility in Caldwell in September.
According to the Idaho Press-Tribune, the 13,500-square-foot facility is expected to be up and running around Sept. 1. It's located in the Sky Ranch Business Center.
Rulon Ramsey, vice president general manager for the Mountain Division of Motion Industries, said Caldwell is a good central location for its customer base. It also has large commercial customers in Caldwell, including Simplot, which was a big factor in the move, he said.
Motion Industries doesn't plan to hire new staff for the facility now, but Ramsey said there is potential for growth and expansion in the future.
