State Safety & Compliance Joins IBC; Launches Ecommerce Sites For Customers

State Safety & Compliance recently launched a new online platform that allows its customers to create custom ecommerce websites based on their company’s individual safety program needs. “These custom ecommerce sites act as a home base for a company’s safety policies, programs and approved products,” said Willmann, VP of the company.

East Granby, CT – IBC announced today the addition of State Safety & Compliance (SSC) as a new safety distributor within its IndustrialSupplyPlus® division.

State Safety & Compliance is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, with an additional sales location in Littleton, Colorado. As part of Haggard & Stocking’s industrial business group, SSC also offers shipping locations in Florida, North Carolina and Texas. State Safety & Compliance services customers in the automotive, aerospace, heavy metals, construction, and pharmaceutical industries, including state municipalities.

State Safety & Compliance joined IBC because it wanted to increase its national scope and presence in the industry. “We are dedicated to building new technology and service offerings that help our customers reduce risk, save money and grow their business. IBC shares our philosophy of bringing best in class distribution and technology solutions to their end user customers,” said Rob Willmann, Vice President, State Safety & Compliance. “IBCs Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) status is also a powerful tool in helping us meet the increasing supplier diversity goals of our customers. We see this as distinct advantage in growing our existing accounts and generating new business.”

Unique to the safety industry, State Safety & Compliance recently launched a new online platform that allows its customers to create custom ecommerce websites based on their company’s individual safety program needs. “These custom ecommerce sites act as a home base for a company’s safety policies, programs and approved products,” said Willmann. “Through the website, safety directors and purchasing executives, across multiple plant locations, can work together to manage which products are available for purchase. This ensures that only approved products, part of the company-wide safety program, are available for employees to purchase.” From the ecommerce site, each product order is shipped and billed to the designed location(s). “This unity of safety products, all under one umbrella, helps eliminate quality concerns for safety directors, headaches for purchasing executives and mitigates overall risk for the customer,” added Willmann.

State Safety & Compliance was started by trained safety managers that believed quality service and expertise was missing from the safety distribution industry. SSC’s sales staff includes safety experts with real world industrial safety experience. “Our ultimate goal is to help customers reduce risk,” said Willmann. SSC works closely with safety directors across multiple industries to ensure the right product for the right application – and to provide training aimed at reducing accidents and mishaps. Through SSC’s on-site training programs, its customers can often lower insurance premiums based on reduced accident reporting.

“The addition of State Safety & Compliance is a natural fit as IBC continues to grow its distribution network in the areas of safety and general MROP,” said Ron Nuñez, President and COO, IBC. “Rob and his team at State Safety are progressive, independent distribution professionals that bring expertise, experience and real value to their customers. We look forward to working with State Safety & Compliance to enhance their long term growth strategy.”
