East Granby, CT – IBC announced today the addition of Todd Tool & Abrasive Systems, Inc. to IBC’s IndustrialSupplyPlus® division as an Independent Distributor.

Headquartered in Ipswich, Massachusetts, Todd Tool is a distributor of cutting tools, abrasives, coolants and maintenance fluids for customers in the aerospace, major defense, semi-conductor and medical markets. Established in 1973, Todd Tool prides itself on the quality of its customer service and technical sales force. “Our philosophy is to provide the service and technical know-how that not only improves our customers’ efficiency, but also helps them reduce cost and improve productivity,” said Michael Smith, President of Todd Tool.

By partnering with IBC, Todd Tool looks to leverage the power of the buying group to increase sales. “As a distributor of highly specialized products, we are currently not in the business of satisfying all of our customers’ needs, but IBC allows us a program to partner with other local specialty players to be able to satisfy a customer’s holistic needs,” added Smith.

“We are excited to welcome Todd Tool to our network of Independent Distributors,” said Ron Nuñez, President and COO of IBC.  “In addition to their line of high-quality, specialized products, Todd Tool also brings to the table a commitment to online and mobile marketing that we want to encourage in all our buying group members.”

Todd Tool recently launched a new website www.toddtool.com, which allows customers to shop online by product category, manufacturer and product specification. A quick search function also allows customers to locate a specific product by name or item number. The company will follow up with a suite of mobile apps designed to bring ordering efficiency to the shop floor. “Our end users can now accumulate data on the shop floor and send orders either directly to us or to the purchasing manager’s web shopping cart,” explained Smith. The mobile app software will be available in both Android and Apple stores in the next four weeks.
