2010 was an interesting year for most of the industrial distribution space, as many struggled mightily to dust off the muck the recession left and move forward with their businesses still intact.  Some of you did more than that, expanding fearlessly into new markets and attacking acquisition opportunities full-force.  But for the most, the mood was somewhat cautious, as evidenced by the many companies that either maintained last year's numbers or grew in small, sustainable ways.

For anybody employing a wait-and-see approach-and that was most of the market-2010 business activity was sure to be closely watched.  For many players in the industrial distribution space, holding steady and powerin through the recession meant 2010 numbers offered up steady increases and a glimmer of hope.
