The 2019 IDCO Expo will take place February 11-13 at the Hilton Houston North Hotel in Houston, Texas. IDCO is the premier co-op for independent distributors serving the industrial community with hose, fittings, gaskets, rubber materials and related products.
Mary Melton-Hale, president at Cross Hose & Fittings says, “As a new member, we learned about a lot of vendors and their products in a short amount of time. I would rather do this than have them visit me during the year, which makes this a good use of vendor resources as well.” Cross Hose & Fittings joined IDCO in June 2017.
IDCO members and suppliers gather for the three-day event that is designed to drive member sales and deliver suppliers’ products to end users. For the 2019 Expo, IDCO plans to continue with the successful meeting format that includes one-on-one time between members and suppliers in order to strengthen relationships and build long-lasting partnerships. Twenty-minute meetings will be held at supplier booths in order to discuss trainings, new products, new applications, and growth plans.
Michael Maione, sales manager at Coilhose Pneumatics, an IDCO endorsed supplier company, provided some comments about the 2018 event. “The 2018 Expo was a huge success for Coilhose Pneumatics. The new and improved format allowed us more one-on-one time with our distributor members. The open tradeshow time was also beneficial by allowing members to visit with us and discuss partnership opportunities. I especially liked the roundtable discussions between members and suppliers. We are all in this together!”
IDCO currently has 73 members in the US and Canada and over 75 endorsed suppliers. IDCO members are active leaders in the industry, and its membership includes six of the last eight NAHAD Presidents.
