The structural foam platform truck can be customized to customers’ exact needs with numerous handle, rail, and caster options.

AKRON, Ohio — Akro-Mils, a North American provider in storage, organization and transport products, has introduced new styles of its popular VERSA/Deck platform truck system.

This structural foam platform truck — which can be customized to customers’ exact needs with numerous handle, rail and caster options — now features “tie-down” slots in the steel-reinforced deck for securing loads during transport. Other new features of the VERSA/Deck:

  • New handle styles, including wire mesh sides; “high-low” handles that support building materials such as drywall and plywood; and posts that accommodate long pipes, tubing and carpet rolls.
  • Bolt-in handles are now standard on all VERSA/Deck models.
  • A new, optional Easy Roll caster made of thermoplastic rubber with precision bearings. This non-marking caster rolls effortlessly and quietly over most surfaces; it is ideal for indoor settings such as offices or hospitals. Easy Roll casters are available with Total Lock brakes.
  • VERSA/Decks have a weight capacity of up to 2,000 lbs.

In addition, Akro-Mils announces the super-heavy-duty ULTRA/Deck structural foam platform truck system. A premium version of the VERSA/Deck, this platform truck offers a weight capacity of up to 3,000 lbs. Decks feature steel reinforcements, extra structural ribs and bolt-on casters. Multiple handle and caster options are available.
