The Nautiz X4 is a rugged, fully portable handheld device designed to offer efficient data collection and communication capabilities for fieldworkers.

CORVALLIS, Ore. — Handheld Group, a leading North American supplier of rugged mobile computers and smartphones, recently announced that Verizon Wireless has granted carrier certification for its Nautiz X4 rugged handheld computer. The Nautiz X4 is a rugged, fully portable handheld device designed to offer efficient data collection and communication capabilities for fieldworkers.

High-powered 3G connectivity, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi capability and powerful data collection features make the Nautiz X4 a robust wireless communication and data collection tool for a wide range of industries. With a 5-megapixel camera and customers’ choice of an integrated high-performance 1D laser scanner or 2D imager, the Nautiz X4 can quickly capture important data and reliably communicate information in real time from the field across Verizon's reliable network, or via batch (store and forward) when back at the office.

The Nautiz X4 has one of the slimmest profiles in the rugged device sector, measuring just 6.1 x 2.9 x 1.0 inches and weighing 11.6 ounces, yet it features a generous 3.5-inch sunlight-readable touchscreen display. It’s IP65-rated and meets stringent MIL-STD-810G military testing standards for overall durability and resistance to humidity, shock, vibration, drops, salt and extreme temperatures.

It operates on a high-speed 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and 1 GB of flash memory. The Nautiz X4 also uses the latest generation Honeywell scan engine and runs Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 with Microsoft Office Mobile, integrating seamlessly into office environments.
