Amazon announced this week that its Amazon Business platform reached $10 billion in global sales annually.
According to Amazon, the Amazon Business platform serves nearly 80 percent 100 largest enrollment education organizations, 55 of the Fortune 100 companies, more than half of the 100 biggest hospital systems and more than 40 percent of the 100 most populous local governments in the U.S. Within a year of Amazon Business’ launch in 2015, the platform reached $1 billion in sales.
An analysis from Bloomberg reports that Amazon Business sales volume will exceed $25 billion by 2021.
