AD Member Sales Up 10% Through First Half Of 2017

Buying group AD reported that sales across its seven divisions grew 10 percent year-over-year during the first half of 2017, including a 9 percent increase in its Industrial and Power Transmission segments.

WAYNE, PA — AD, the $30+ billion contractor and industrial products wholesale buying/marketing group, reported sales for all AD members, across 10 AD Divisions and three countries grew by 10 percent during the first six months of 2017 to $17.8 billion. Purchases from AD suppliers grew by 16 percent. Distributions to members were up 15 percent. 

On a same-store basis, by industry, Electrical sales were up 10 percent; PHCP was up 8 percent; Industrial/Power Transmission were up 9 percent; and Building Materials was up 19 percent. By country, Same-store sales in the U.S. grew 8 percent; Canada was up 9 percent and Mexico grew 6 percent.
