Stockhom, Sweden-based Atlas Copco recently announced that its U.S. subsidiary, Quincy Compressors, has acquired Carle Place, NY-based Scales Industrial Technologies for an undisclosed amount.
According to Atlas Copco, Scales distributes, services and rents out industrial air compressors and ancillary systems to manufacturing and construction customers in the northeast U.S., and has about 180 employees. Scales also offers medical gas solutions for hospitals and laboratories.
“We are glad to have such a strong team joining us as it will allow Quincy Compressor to further strengthen its presence in the Northeastern U.S. market,” said Nico Delvaux, President of Atlas Copco’s Compressor Technique business area. “It reinforces our commitment to serve customers with top-quality products and services.”
