Affiliated Distributors Member Sales Grow 4% In Q2

All seven AD sales divisions showed growth, led by Building materials and Canadian Electrical.

WAYNE, PA — Affiliated Distributors (AD), a $31 billion contractor and industrial products wholesale buying/marketing group, reported sales for all AD members, across all seven Divisions, grew by 4 percent in the second quarter of 2015 to $16.7 billion.

"AD members and our supplier partners continue to work together to take share and win in the market place. Our industry executives and member led divisional Boards are working hard to provide growth opportunities for our members through innovative new initiatives such as e-commerce, HR professional services, as well as conversions, marketing and incentive programs," says Bill Weisberg, AD’s Chairman & CEO. "We are also actively recruiting growth-oriented distributors and best-in-class suppliers to join the organization. This quarter we announced the merger with Canaplus, which marks expansion into the Canadian Plumbing & Heating industries. New markets, new geographies and core member growth are three pillars to our strategic growth plans."

By Division, AD Member second quarter sales grew as follows: U.S. Electrical up 5 percent; Canadian Electrical up 11 percent; Industrial up 1 percent; Plumbing up 5 percent; PVF up 3 percent; HVAC up 7 percent; and Building Materials up 11 percent year over year.
