Georgia Tool & Abrasives Joins IBC As Its Newest Distributor Member

Buford, GA-based Georgia Tool & Abrasives offers a broad range of industrial supplies, including cutting tools, band saw blades, abrasives, safety supplies, MRO supplies, CNC tooling and welding supplies.

EAST GRANBY, CT — IBC has announce the addition of Georgia Tool & Abrasives, LLC to its family of independent distributors and preferred suppliers. Georgia Tool & Abrasives offers a broad range of industrial supplies to meet its customers’ manufacturing needs, including cutting tools, band saw blades, abrasives, safety supplies, MRO supplies, CNC tooling and welding supplies.

Founded in 2013 and headquartered in Buford, GA, Georgia Tool & Abrasives joined IBC after exploring various opportunities to expand its business, represent new suppliers and align itself with other like-minded, independent distributors.

“We were looking at different options and really liked what IBC brought to the table,” said Jon Nelson, President, “so we thought it was the right time to join.”

Using “Where sales and service meet” as its company motto, Georgia Tool & Abrasives focuses on providing a highly customized, personal approach with each and every one of its customers.

“We make every attempt to get out to our customers and visit them in-person on a regular basis,” Nelson said. “We’re extremely customer-focused, and we work diligently to help them solve problems and find the right solution for the right applications.”

Nelson, who is looking forward to attending IBC’s annual conference later this year, said his firm anticipates a strong, long-standing relationship with the organization.

“We offer a good product lineup and good prices, and that allows us to work in tandem with other small businesses like ours to gain economies of scale,” said Nelson. “We’ve already started connecting with some IBC members and suppliers, and we look forward to doing even more of that this year.”

Ron Nuñez, IBC’s President and COO, said Georgia Tool &Abrasives is an “ideal fit” for the IBC network.

“As cutting tool specialists, they can help end users solve technical problems, while also offering a wide range of MROP and safety products that support their diverse and growing customer base," Nuñez said.

IBC is one of North America’s leading alliances of industrial, bearing & power transmission, electrical, and subassembly distributors with over 400 branch locations and total sales in excess of $2.6 billion.
