Kaman Industrial Tech. Appoints New VP Of Kaman Fluid Power

Kaman Industrial Technologies — No. 20 on ID's Big 50 List — has announced that KIT vice president of marketing, David Mayer, will become vice president and general manager of Kaman Fluid Power effective April 3.

BLOOMFIELD, CT — Kaman Distribution Group, the distribution segment of Kaman Corporation, has announced that David Mayer will become Vice President and General Manager of the Kaman Fluid Power platform effective April 3.

“Fluid Power has become an integral component of the Distribution Group and we see future strategic growth opportunities to develop it further. David has played a critical role in architecting our Fluid Power platform and he is well prepared for his new assignment,” stated Steven Smidler, President of Kaman Industrial Technologies Corporation. “In this new role David will assume overall responsibilities for the Fluid Power platform, and the business will remain focused on its business objectives of increasing market share, enhancing the customer experience, and improving operational effectiveness.”

Mayer has been Vice President – Marketing of Kaman Industrial Technologies since 1998 responsible for marketing, product management, supplier relations and fabrication and assembly services. David joined Kaman in 1989 and has served in a number of functional areas including business development, strategic planning, product management and finance. He is a past president of the Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) and previously served in Emhart Corporation’s management development program. Mayer is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Connecticut, where he earned a BS in finance and an MBA in international business.

Kaman Corp. has also announced that Eric B. Remington will become vice president of Government Relations and Communications and James G. Coogan will become vice president of Investor Relations, both effective April 1.
