F.W. Webb Creates Water Works Division With Acquisition

The acquisition of Water Works Supply Corp. of Malden, MA and Londonderry, NH, gains F.W. Webb employees and a fabrication shop.

Bedford, MA-based F.W. Webb announced Wednesday that it has acquired Water Works Supply Corp. (WWSC) of Malden, MA and Londonderry, NH, and has created the F.W. Webb Water Works Division – the company's first entry into the water works market.

The company will operate its water works business in Malden and Londonderry under the direction of general manager Christopher DiPirro, a 33-year F.W. Webb veteran.

"As a longstanding regional leader across numerous core and specialty markets, offering water works products and services is an exciting development for F.W. Webb," said Jeff Pope, president of F.W. Webb. "Most importantly, it brings a new level of expertise, quality products, and industry-leading service to customers throughout the Northeast for essential upgrades and repair of municipal infrastructure."

F.W. Webb said it has hired a majority of WWSC employees, including the company's most recent owner, Damon Moore. Moore will support the new F.W. Webb division in a major advisory role.

"Since F.W. Webb currently supplies everything water- and pipe-related for buildings, having water works products and services is a natural extension of our business," said F.W. Webb COO Robert Mucciarone. "With the addition of water works, customers can count on F.W. Webb as a reliable one-stop partner for all their residential, commercial and industrial projects, large or small and from underground to rooftop."

F.W. Webb is maintaining WWSC's fabrication shop and as well as its tenured machinists, which the company said specializes in accurately retrofitting old oversized flange pipe with new pipe and fittings. F.W. Webb said the shop is also the only UL-classified shop for flanged ductile iron pipe in the area.

Moore's father started WWSC in 1953, initiating a new dimension of innovation for water works customers with a complete fabrication shop that provided unprecedented quality and fast turnaround.
