PTDA Welcomes Six New Members

The new members include three industrial distributors, based in Michigan, South Dakota, and California.

CHICAGO — The Power Transmission Distributors Association (PTDA) recently welcomed six new member companies, including three industrial distributor members, three manufacturer members, and one associate member.

Distributor Members

C.E.M. Supply Inc. (Coldwater, Mich.) is a distributor of mechanical PT components, bearings, motors, motor/motion control, electrical/electronic drives, material handling, hydraulics/pneumatics, and PT accessories.

Exim Engineering Inc. (Anaheim, Calif.) distributes mechanical PT components, bearings, motors, electrical/electronic drives, and hydraulics/pneumatics products. "Business is changing rapidly and PTDA allows us to gain knowledge of industry trends and compare our operations with our peers in order to make necessary changes to stay competitive. Plus, PTDA provides a platform for networking with suppliers and fellow distributors," said Sharad Mehta, president.

Malloy (Sioux Falls, S.D.) is a distributor of mechanical PT components, bearings, motors, electrical/electronic drives, material handling, linear motion and PT accessories. Nolan Fischer, operations manager, stated, “We joined PTDA to network with our peers and to expand our relationships with current and potential suppliers. We are also excited about the many resources PTDA provides for our organization and team members.”

Manufacturer Members

Delta Products (Durham, N.C.) manufactures adjustable speed drives, motor/motion control products, motors, and linear motion products. “Delta joined PTDA because of the organization’s strength and prominence in the power transmission marketplace. Variable frequency drives are one of our core strengths in industrial automation, so we believe PTDA membership is a natural fit to expand Delta’s participation in the power transmission industry. We plan to diligently support the organization and participate in all the activities provided. We are looking forward to taking advantage of the opportunities in PTDA to better serve power transmission distributors,” said Mike Carson, vice president, sales and product management.

Syntron Material Handling, LLC (formerly FMC Technologies) (Saltillo, Miss.) is a manufacturer of conveyors and material handling components and PT accessories.

Associate Member

supplyFORCE (King of Prussia, Pa.) provides national account contract services to independent distributors. Scott Sutfin, director, PTB division said “Wanting to expand into the power transmission arena, we look at PTDA as a tremendous opportunity to network with the best independent distributors and the leading product manufacturers in the industry and to take advantage of the abundant training opportunities and resources.”
