Bimba Acquires Intek Products

Actuation technology provider Bimba adds a mechanical automation provider, expanding its electric actuator offering.

UNIVERSITY PARK, IL — Bimba, an innovator of actuation technology, recently announced the acquisition of Intek Products of Warrendale, PA. Founded in 1999, Intek develops mechanical automation products and solutions for both single-axis and multi-axis coordinated electric motion. Intek’s products are extensively used for linear positioning, robotic applications, pick & place mechanisms and gantry systems.

“This acquisition will significantly enhance Bimba’s electric actuator offering and extend our commitment to offer our customers a choice of complete pneumatic, hydraulic and electric motion options,” says Pat Ormsby, President of Bimba.
