IBC Adds YG-1 U.S.A. To Preferred Suppliers

As the fifth largest cutting tool manufacturer in the world, YG-1 exports to 53 countries around the world and has manufacturing partners in the U.S., Ireland, South Korea, and China.

East Granby, Conn. – IBC is pleased to announce the addition of YG-1 U.S.A. of Chicago as a Preferred Supplier of high-quality cutting tools. As the fifth largest cutting tool manufacturer in the world, YG-1 exports to 53 countries around the world and has manufacturing partners in the U.S., Ireland, South Korea, and China. The company provides high-quality cutting tools at a reasonable price – just one of various attributes that make YG-1 a good match for IBC.

“YG-1 is in the process of reaching into new markets by developing and launching a number of innovative new products,” said Shane Hollenbaugh, Director of Sales and Marketing. “We see this as the perfect time to establish a relationship with IBC not only for our existing product groups, but also in terms of gaining exposure to new markets.”

As the world’s largest manufacturer of round tools, YG-1 makes drills, taps, end mills, spade drills, and rotary tools. YG-1’s Chicago location maintains a large inventory and achieves a 98 percent fill rate. A new online order processing system helps distributors save time while also lowering ordering costs and reducing errors.

According to Hollenbaugh, the firm’s focus on high worker productivity has allowed it to maintain strong growth over the last 22 years. “Our economies of scale allow us competitive advantages,” said Hollenbaugh, “and only the highest quality materials and machinery are used in the manufacturing of our products.”

YG-1, which recently opened a new 60,000-square-foot technical center in Charlotte, N.C., puts an effort into helping end users reduce their manufacturing costs while increasing throughput. “We have a great team of technical specialists,” said Hollenbaugh, “that our distribution network and end users rely on to help them achieve those goals.”

Nancy Schwind, IBC’s Director of Business Development, said, “YG-1 is an ideal choice for the group’s distributor members with its extensive line of cutting and threading tools. YG-1’s several U.S. manufacturing facilities and Chicago-based warehouse make it a truly international company,” said Schwind, “that will support our members with high quality cutting tools at a reasonable price.”
