Subsidiaries of Dutch firm ERIKS nv have acquired American distributors Seals & Packings and Action Industrial Group. These acquisitions will add U.S. industrial distribution capacity to ERIKS’ core businesses.
ERIKS nv subsidiary ERIKS Seals and Plastics — based in Fort Worth, Texas — acquired Dallas-based Seals & Packings. Seals & Packings is a distributor of seals and sealing-related components to a variety of industries, including oil and gas, automotive, rail, aerospace, mobile and industrial hydraulics, chemical, petrochemical, and medical.
Along with added logistical and engineering capacity, this acquisition will expand ERIKS’ reach into the oil and gas industry, according to Plastics News.
Action Industrial Group, a distributor and fabricator of plastic components, was also acquired by ERIKS subsidiary Lewis-Goetz and Co. Action Industrial Group is a fabricator and distributor specializing in fasteners, gaskets, hose products and industrial tools and supplies.
ERIKS' subsidiaries focus on core activities in flow technology, sealing and rubber technology, industrial plastics, power transmission and bearings, and tools, maintenance and safety products.
