Summit Electric Supply Names President, COO

Paul Jeffries was previously a group vice president and general manager for a publicly-traded international distributor.

Albuquerque, NM-based Summit Electric Supply announced Monday that it has hired Paul Jeffries as President and Chief Operating Officer, a new position within the company. Jeffries was previously a group vice president and general manager for a publicly-traded international distributor. He will report to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Victor Jury Jr. and be based out of Summit’s Houston, TX offices.

Jeffries will be responsible for aligning Summit’s vision with solutions that drive growth and market share across the company. He’ll oversee Summit’s sales, operations, corporate credit, marketing and talent management. He’ll also direct Summit’s international sales division, plus have indirect oversight of the marine division; engineering, procurement, and construction; and the strategic accounts team.

“Paul’s perspective and skills will significantly contribute to Summit’s next phase of growth. I’m confident he’ll help refine and execute Summit’s strategic vision and continue to build on the successful business practices we’ve established as a private, independent company,” says Victor Jury Jr., Chairman and CEO of Summit. “Adding Paul to the Summit team reflects our commitment to planning for Summit’s future success as part of a broadly implemented, companywide succession planning process.”

Jeffries has worked in electrical distribution for nearly 25 years running various sized businesses from $10M to over $800M in annual sales, and he most recently managed the global sales and operations of an integrated supply group for a multi-billion dollar Fortune 500 distributor.
