Ferguson Acquires Equarius

The acquisition grows Ferguson Waterworks' utility footprint in California.

NEWPORT NEWS — Ferguson Enterprises, a Wolseley brand, recently announced the acquisition of Equarius, Inc. in an asset transaction completed March 9. Post-acquisition, the company will operate as Equarius Waterworks, Meter & Automation Group, a Ferguson enterprise. Management and all employees will remain with the business.

Equarius is the exclusive Neptune Meter distributor for the State of California. It serves the California water utility industry through direct sales to municipalities and special water districts, in addition to the sub-metering market with sales to wholesalers, contractors, universities, and other government agencies.

“Ferguson is focused on growing our waterworks footprint in the West,” said Ferguson CEO Frank Roach. “Equarius is a great company and we are excited to have them on-board to expand our metering business in California.”

Ferguson Waterworks supplies products and services to support water, sanitary sewer and storm water management needs. It has a coast-to-coast network of 194 Waterworks locations and 1,600 technically trained Waterworks associates.
