Ever-busy building materials provider ABC Supply (Beloit, WI) has announced two acquisitions in the past week, adding Worcestor, MA-based Rome Building Products and Minneapolis-based Western Roofing Supply.
Rome Building Products is a distributor of exterior building materials with one location. It will become the second ABC Supply branch in Worcester.
“Rome Building Products is a well-respected company with a talented team and a strong presence as a supplier of windows and siding," said Tom Kuchan, Vice President of ABC Supply's Northeast Region. "This addition to the ABC family will complement our product offering in this market and expand our ability to serve contractors in these categories."
Former Rome Building Products owner Howard Witkes is retiring. However, the other associates, including industry veteran Dave Porter, who has been named branch manager, will join ABC Supply, Kuchan said.
Western Roofing Supply also has a single location that will become ABC's fifth location in the Twin Cities metro area. The store supplies area contractors with roofing materials for residential, commercial and industrial uses.
With the acquisition, the store's offerings will be expanded to include windows, siding and gutters, said Jim Welch, vice president of ABC Supply’s Midwest Region.
“It will allow us to provide more seamless service to contractors working in the central part of the metropolitan area, giving them convenient access to the products and support they need,” Welch said.
ABC Supply’s other Twin Cities-area branches are in St. Paul, Coon Rapids, Maple Plain and Savage.
Terms of either transaction were not disclosed.
