Ohio Transmission Corp. Acquires Ohlheiser

The acquisition will expand Ohio Transmission's geographical reach into the U.S. Northeast in the industrial equipment market.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Transmission Corporation, an industrial equipment service provider and distributor headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, has announced the acquisition of Ohlheiser Corporation, an industrial automation distributor based in Newington, Conn., with sales territories throughout all of New England and eastern New York. The acquisition will expand Ohio Transmission Corporation’s geographical reach, and the Newington location will join 22 other locations throughout the Midwest and South.

With the acquisition, Ohio Transmission Corporation will also add all 40 of Ohlheiser’s associates to its existing workforce of more than 550 employees and will continue to provide quality products from leading industrial automation manufacturers, including SMC, Gast, Epson, Baumer, Panasonic and Turck. Ohlheiser’s product lines include pneumatics, vacuum, fluid power, robotics, motion control, sensing, safety, machine vision and ID, UV curing and aluminum extrusion, with which it has been supplying its customers for more than 50 years.

Ohlheiser Corporation will become a subsidiary of Ohio Transmission Corporation and will benefit from its vast product and service offerings and resources.
